Cube Management Consulting is a British Columbia based management and information systems consulting firm. With a primary focus on helping organizations improve performance, we have experienced practitioners with credentials in management consulting, project management, privacy and security, organizational change management, business process management, and business analysis.

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst that will be accountable for working with various stakeholder groups, developers, and project managers to ensure business solutions are developed and implemented in complex and evolving environments.

Business Analyst Responsibilities

  • Building & Validating Requirements:
    • Work with our business to elicit and capture business requirements
    • Work with end-users to elicit and capture user requirements
    • Collaborate with project teams to define and prepare captured requirements for development
    • Facilitate & assist our business in prioritizing requirements
    • Facilitate & assist the project team in estimating size of requirements
  • Critical Thinking:
    • Identify risks and recommends mitigation strategies
    • Present compelling recommendations based on facts and confirmed requirements
    • Evaluate information from multiple sources
    • Disaggregate high level information into refined details
    • Raise and pursue root problems; probing with clarifying questions
    • Skillfully change direction when presented with new information
    • Proactive in communicating critical or challenging recommendations
    • Able to perform gap analysis between current and future state business process
  • Team Player:
    • Foster a spirit of creative collaboration by giving team members and business stakeholders a common focus
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered to meet business requirements
    • Build and maintain relationships with the all project business stakeholders and partners
    • Provide leadership in projects as necessary to ensure project success
  • Leadership:
    • Lead initiatives & act as a change agent (embraces change and helps others to embrace it)
    • Ensure decisions take into account the needs of all stakeholders, and affected stakeholders are engaged throughout the process
  • Various other duties as required

Must Have Skills

  • Post secondary degree/diploma or a combination of experience and certifications will be considered
  • At least 5+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills at various levels of the organization
  • Proven positive, “can-do” attitude and customer-focused approach
  • Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Business processes and organizational change
    • Strong knowledge of formal project delivery methodologies
    • Understanding of standard business process mapping notation and tools
    • Understanding of business processes and rules that dictate the success of an organization
  • Proven ability to:
    • Understand both general and specific business needs
    • Incorporate evolving industry best practices
    • Quickly learn new business and technical concepts
    • Handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure to meet specific deadlines
    • Work in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing team environment
    • Organize and facilitate requirements gathering
    • Deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience consulting in a provincial or federal government environment is an asset
  • Specialized or expert industry knowledge is an asset
  • IIBA CBAP certification is an asset
  • ITIL certification is an asset
  • BPM certification is an asset


  • Must have a Canadian citizenship or a Canadian work permit/visa
